Onboarding

Complete your BinaxPay profile by uploading required documents, reviewing your details, and submitting your application.

Complete your BinaxPay profile

BinaxPay onboarding helps you complete your profile before you continue to account setup. You'll upload the required identity and address documents, review the details connected to your profile, and submit your application for verification.

The process is split into two main steps. In Step 1, you upload one supported identity document and one proof of address. In Step 2, you review your personal information, residential address, uploaded documents, and final declarations before submitting your application.

Step 1: Upload documents

To continue with BinaxPay onboarding, you must upload one supported identity document and one proof of address. These documents are required before your profile can move forward for review.

What this screen does

This screen is the first step of onboarding. It shows the progress tracker, explains what is still needed, and presents upload areas for the required document sections. Passport requires one main page upload. National ID and driving licence require both front and back uploads. Proof of address is uploaded separately to confirm the current residential address.

Expected user flow

  • Upload the required identity document image or images.
  • Upload proof of address.
  • Select Next once the required uploads are complete.

Upload the required identity document image or images, upload proof of address, then select Next once the required uploads are complete.

Passport upload

Upload your passport main page as your identity document.

What this screen does

The passport section requires one upload because the main passport page usually contains the key identity information needed for review. This may include the user's name, photo, document number, nationality, date of birth, and expiry details.

Expected user flow

  • Upload a clear image of the passport main page.
  • Make sure the full page and all important details are visible without cropped edges, blur, or hidden information.

Upload a clear image of the passport main page. The image should show the full page and all important details without cropped edges, blur, or hidden information.

National ID upload

Upload both sides of your government-issued National ID.

What this screen does

The National ID section requires two uploads: front side and back side. Both sides are required because important identity details may appear on either side of the card. The front side may show the user's photo, name, date of birth, document number, or nationality. The back side may include additional identifiers, issue details, expiry details, address information, or machine-readable information.

Expected user flow

  • Upload the front side of the National ID.
  • Upload the back side of the National ID.
  • Confirm both images are clear, readable, and show the full card before continuing.

Upload the front side of the National ID, then upload the back side. Both images should be clear, readable, and show the full card before continuing.

Driving licence upload

Upload both sides of your driving licence.

What this screen does

The driving licence section requires two uploads: front side and back side. Both sides are required because licence information can be split across the two sides of the document. The front side may show the user's name, photo, date of birth, licence number, and expiry date. The back side may include additional document details, issuing information, licence categories, restrictions, or machine-readable information.

Expected user flow

  • Upload the front side of the driving licence.
  • Upload the back side of the driving licence.
  • Confirm both images are clear enough for the document information to be read.

Upload the front side of the driving licence, then upload the back side. Both images should be clear enough for the document information to be read.

Proof of address upload

Upload a document that confirms your current residential address.

What this screen does

The proof of address section is required separately from the identity document sections. The identity document helps confirm who the user is, while proof of address helps confirm where the user currently lives. The uploaded document should clearly show the user's name, current address, and enough document information to support review.

Expected user flow

  • Upload a clear proof of address document.
  • Review the address information later in the Address section before submitting the application.

Upload a clear proof of address document. Once the file is added, the address information can be reviewed later in the Address section before the application is submitted.

Step 2: Review & Submit

Before submitting your application, review each section carefully. You can still edit your details before sending your application for verification.

What this screen does

The review step gives the user a final checkpoint before submission. The screen uses tabs for Personal, Address, Documents, and Submit, so the user can move through each category and see what is complete or what still needs attention. Status badges such as Complete, Action required, and Needs information help guide the user.

Expected user flow

  • Open each tab and review the information.
  • Edit any missing or incorrect details.
  • Confirm the required declarations and submit when all required sections are complete.

Open each tab, review the information, edit any missing or incorrect details, confirm the required declarations, and submit the application when all required sections are complete.

Personal tab

Review the personal details connected to your BinaxPay profile.

What this screen does

The Personal tab contains the user's basic identity information, including full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, phone number, email address, and tax residency details. Any field marked Needs information must be completed before submission. The personal details should match the uploaded identity document and the user's account profile.

Expected user flow

  • Check the name and email.
  • Complete missing details such as date of birth, gender, nationality, phone number, and tax information.
  • Return to the review flow when the Personal tab is complete.

Check the name and email, complete missing details such as date of birth, gender, nationality, phone number, and tax information, then return to the review flow.

Address tab

Confirm the address where you currently live.

What this screen does

The Address tab shows residential address details such as street, building or flat number, postcode, city, residential country, and address type. Missing items are marked so the user knows what must be completed before submission. This section connects directly with the proof of address upload, so the entered residential address should match the uploaded proof of address document as closely as possible.

Expected user flow

  • Enter or correct missing address details.
  • Check the residential country.
  • Make sure the address matches the proof of address document before continuing.

Enter or correct missing address details, check the residential country, and make sure the address matches the proof of address document before continuing.

Documents tab

Review the identity document and proof of address uploaded during onboarding.

What this screen does

The Documents tab shows whether the required files have been uploaded. It confirms that the identity document and proof of address are attached and ready for review, while also giving users the option to manage or replace a document if the wrong file was uploaded.

Expected user flow

  • Check that the identity document and proof of address are both uploaded.
  • Use the manage option to update a document if the wrong file was uploaded.
  • Continue once both required documents are correct.

Check that the identity document and proof of address are both uploaded. If something is wrong, use the manage option to update the relevant document before submitting.

Submit tab

Submit your application when all required sections are complete.

What this screen does

The Submit tab shows whether the application is ready to submit. If information is still missing, the page explains what needs attention and keeps submission disabled. When all required sections are complete, the checklist confirms that personal information, residential address, documents, and declarations are complete. Before submission, the user confirms that their tax residency information is accurate, that they are not subject to sanctions or restrictions that would prevent BinaxPay from providing services, and that the information in the application is accurate and complete. These confirmations are important because they are the user's final declarations before the application is submitted.

Expected user flow

  • Review the checklist and complete any missing information.
  • Read the final confirmations and check the required boxes.
  • Select Submit application when ready.

Review the checklist, complete any missing information, read the final confirmations, check the required boxes, and select Submit application when ready.
